Dr. Miller Young joined Arlington Heights Animal Hospital in 2026 and is passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives through preventive care, client education, and compassionate medicine. Although he recently graduated from veterinary school, he brings more than 10 years of experience working in veterinary medicine and a strong foundation in both small and large animal practice. Growing up in rural Kentucky with an agricultural background gave him a unique perspective on animal health and the importance of building lasting relationships with both pets and their families.
Dr. Young earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 and completed his clinical training at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. A member of the Phi Zeta Honors Society, he is committed to lifelong learning and continually expanding his knowledge to provide the highest quality care for every patient.

Dr. Young began working in veterinary medicine more than 10 years ago at a rural mixed animal practice in Kentucky. Throughout veterinary school, he continued gaining hands-on experience and had the opportunity to work in veterinary clinics across the United States, the Caribbean, and South Africa.
These diverse experiences have helped shape his practical, collaborative approach to veterinary medicine and strengthened his passion for providing compassionate, individualized care for every patient.

Life Outside the Hospital
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Young enjoys spending time outdoors, farming, traveling, and making memories with his fiancée and their new baby boy. His family also includes several four-legged (and scaly!) companions:
- Zeus – Belgian Malinois
- Mr. Wiggles – Pomeranian
- Toad – Domestic Longhair cat
- Several reptiles and amphibians
He also enjoys giving back to the profession and has volunteered with Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Fun Fact
Dr. Young’s favorite dog breed is the Belgian Malinois—which probably explains why he shares his home with Zeus!
